Suspension!

Today I got a suspension training system. Like the TRX but cheaper. I really like these trainers as there is a lot you can do with them and, done right, they make you suffer.

The one I got can either be suspended from a beam or hooked over the door. I’m going to get a chin up bar installed and hang it from that eventually, if all goes well. Until then I’ll stick with the door.

I’ll do some photographs of these when I have time but my favourite suspension exercises are:

  • Rows
  • Chest press
  • Chest flyes
  • Face pulls
  • Tricep extensions
  • Single leg lunges
  • Single leg squats
  • Squat jumps
  • Planks
  • Mountain climbers
  • Crunches
  • Pikes

This could be fun!

The verdict:

Suspension training is useful for the whole body and uses very little equipment.
Can be done at home or at the gym.

  1. What was the name of the suspension system you got? Did you have a link for it by any chance? I’ve been looking at TRX for a while, but it’s SO expensive here.
