So I’ve sort of broached on a couple of my neuroses in the past and I’m not going to go into them in great detail unless they affect my training. Like the OCG.
I’m not sure whether today’s issue affects my training or my training affects this but I seem to have it in my head that all of my life’s problems will be sorted when I’m fit and thin. The problem is that when I’ve started to get thinner I’ve also started to find new issues to blame things on and it becomes cyclical.
So why am I telling you this? Well just to let you know that fitness is good for your well being and health but that it won’t solve all of life’s problems and you have to love yourself as a whole and not just your body. The holistic view. It’s something I’ll be working on and I suggest you do too.

So true, the fitness community is way too focused on body image. While being thin and fit is awesome, it’s a journey with bumps and turns. Keep up the good work!
Wise words! Fitness isn’t a panacea for all that might ail us. It should be seen as an end in itself rather than as a means to achieve xyz .
Thank you for sharing. I think fitness does help emotions… On some level.
Oh absolutely but it can also become an obsession and negatively affect it
