What’s a conspiracy theory you actually find believable?

In general I am a person of science and so I rarely believe conspiracy theories. In large part due to the fact that if so many people are ‘in on it’ then serious evidence would have surfaced by now.

What I will do though, is talk about one of the more recently theories that has surfaced. That Covid 19 was a hoax. A lot of people genuinely believe this to be true. They think it was just a flu epidemic and that people were generally safe unless they were killed off by the medical profession. And the medical profession were paid off. Presumably the majority think that big pharma are the ones at the crux of it.

So, as a health professional, let me tell you this. There is no way on this planet (flat or otherwise) that you could pay off every healthcare professional. Trust me, nobody has ever given me any hand outs. If they had I would not be driving a 12 year old car around. There are currently 216,000 doctors working in the NHS alone. This does not include any nursing staff, radiologist, pharmacists etc who would all have to be paid off. Not to mention, the NHS is free and big pharma get paid from the government as opposed to private companies so their interest is not going to be lining their pockets and getting in on the act. Which, they would have to given the magnitude of people that would have to be involved. Let me just say that again. That’s JUST the NHS. This thing was worldwide. If pharma were paying everyone off they would be far past bankrupt.

Now, here’s the other thing that people don’t understand. Forget the Covid tests. If you don’t want to believe them, fine. But I worked in an emergency department through the entire pandemic. Pre and post vaccines. The Covid tests were never really a surprise. Believe it or not we could tell who had covid and even who had been vaccinated by their symptoms and their radiological evidence alone. You see unvaccinated Covid, looks completely different on a chest x-ray than any other virus. It shows patches all throughout the lungs. At its worst it produces some very recognisable symptoms which I often termed as drowning in their own secretions. It was an absolutely dire time to be a doctor. I remember being stood in the resuscitation area at the beginning of 2020 looking around and not knowing who to help first. Watching young, previously healthy people dying all around me. Of course there were many with comorbidites and they did worse but healthy people were dying.

After the vaccine that changed. The X-Rays started to look like normal viral or bacterial pneumonia x-rays. People were far less sick. Life at work became a lot more manageable and I could start to address the clear trauma that it had given me.

The other theory about morphine killing them off is also ludicrous. We give morphine to people either already dying to give them comfort or to slow the respiratory system down to allow patients to blow off the carbon dioxide in their blood. Nobody was murdering patients. Again, billions of people would have had to be in on it. You can say we just did as we were told but why? Why would anyone knowingly do that? It makes absolutely no sense.

So all that leaves me to tell you is that now, in 2026, it is not as common as it was. But I can STILL to this day tell who is and isn’t vaccinated by their symptoms and X-Ray.
