Went to Galle this morning. On the way Nala told me he went and stayed in Colombo last night because his aunt had ‘expired.’ I asked when the funeral was and he told me tomorrow but no matter what I said he was adamant he wasn’t going to it. I didn’t mind staying in the hotel or whatever but he wasn’t having it. First thing we did was go to an old Dutch church. I tripped over a grave. Had a walk around the Dutch fort. There were some nice views but also some work being done on it. It must be a good date spot as there were loads of couples sat on the rocks.
Saw a man with a monkey on a chain. I was not happy! I wondered if I could free it somehow but I doubt I could.

Thought I’d take a walk on the high street. Very quickly decided that was a bad decision and did a quick turn around back to the car. It is so damn busy with nothing worth buying.
Got back to the hotel and decided to walk around the area. Some nice little shops near the hotel!
Also saw the first dog that wasn’t a mongrel! He was well looked after too. Had a lovely shiny coat.

Was hounded by tuk tuk drivers. Are people not allowed to walk anywhere these days. One even tried to lure me to a herb garden where they have magic weight loss remedies. I walked off as soon as that left his lips!
Found a pizza place I had spotted on trip adviser called La Boheme. It was a pizza joint and it was the only fresh pizza I’ve had since being here. Most of you who know me will know pizza is what I live off when I’m on holiday. It was a super cute little place. Very hipster. All the Sri Lankan staff and guests had long hair in pony tails and beach shirts on. Food was good. I was full very quickly. One cocktail made me tipsy also!
Had a wobbly walk down the beach after the cocktail. Not a rain drop in sight. Actually the sea looked alright but I wasn’t going to start splashing about without a purpose by myself.
Sat at the table for hours until it went dark. Thought I’d make the most of the dry weather. Saw another monkey on a lead. It made me angry. Last full day tomorrow! Let’s hope it’s a good one!
