I’ll take you to the Kandy shop

I did not realise just how big this hotel was. It’s also very colonial British. It even has a Wikipedia page https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suisse_Hotel

I tried to fit in. However the shawl was impractical with a rucksack.

There were little tweety birds flying around the dining room, nibbling in the bread in the baskets. I’ll stick to the covered food tomorrow. I was offered a massage from a blind white man. Not what I expected for this morning. Here is the leaflet he gave me. You can see exactly what the bloody hell happened to me the other day! I did not look or feel this relaxed.

Came to the botanical gardens. It was a nice walk but so hot in the sun. Very pretty area.

But this. This is what it was all about!

Traffic was mental today. Bizarre for a Sunday. I saw a giant sign of a trumpet in a red circle with a line through it. Literally a ‘no trumpets’ sign outside of the hospital. That’s a first. Tried to take a pic but a bloody tuk tuk got in the way.

Went to the shopping mall. Nothing exciting. Kids keep laughing between themselves at me. Come on guys. You’ve seen whales before!

Back to the hotel early today. Might just watch some Sri Lankan TV and nap.
