Safari so good
After a refreshing sleep I had a very cold shower. Against my better judgement. However, I was clean.
We went to town to get supplies. Madan, Mark and I went to the Vodacom shop to get SIM cards so we would have internet use. Of course, mine didn’t work and the bus left without us. We had to get taxi bikes to catch up with them. First time I think I’ve been on the back of a bike since I was a child. And it cost the equivalent of 35p!!! Come on Uber. Step up.
It was a long drive to the Serengeti gate and I fell asleep again. I seem to have spent a long time sleeping on this trip. We got to the gate and had lunch and then embarked on our first safari.
Wildebeest. Wildebeest everywhere. There were thousands of them. Those and zebra. Plenty of zebra. We also saw antelope, giraffe, vultures, impala, buffalo, topi, hyraxes and then to top it all off a big group of elephants. They were fantastic. They had young ones with them too. I got lots of pics.

Got back to camp and was told there were no sleeping bags for me. Pissed off isn’t the word. However, the guide managed to find one for me. Apparently there was a lion in the camp last week. I’ll be sleeping with one eye open!
