Day 23

Antananarrived

Finally arrived at the airport after what felt like forever. There must have only been 10 of us on the plane for the second leg. I got to sit where I wanted.

Jonathan picked me up and took me to a hotel so I could sleep. Had a few hours kip and then woke up.

We drove through Antananarivo and boy was it busy. We got out into the country and went for lunch at this cute little place. I had pizza. Obvs. Saw some guys showing off their cocks to each other. Apparently it was a fighting arena.

Went to a nature reserve. Nearly died walking up to the forest as it was so steep. The guides were making calls to the lemurs. I expected to see something but I didn’t expect the lemurs to come bounding in the way that they did to the call. They weren’t fearful at all. I was able to feed them out of my hand. You put your hand out and they grab your hand and move it to their mouth. Cute really. One had a gammy eye and I felt sorry for it. One had a baby on its belly.

He said what?

We went back down to ground level and saw a bunch of chameleons, geckos, snakes, frogs, bats and a random crocodile. I held a few things. I had no small change to tip and I felt really bad about it.

Saw a chicken get run over. Great.

Got to the hotel and then went on a night walk. Saw a mouse lemur. I tried to get a picture but it’s head was hiding so it’s just a fat little body and claws.

Went to a restaurant and had spaghetti bolognese. Get me all grown up.

Early night. National park at 7.30am!
